My first post for 2016 Flashback Friday #FBF goes to High School Musical. On 20 January 2016, Disney and the entire HSM crew celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the movie. The above video was shot early on in January when Disney recruited all the 5 main casts for a sit-down interview. Can you believe it has been 10 years since HSM was released?

A decade later who knew songs like Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together can still be so catchy? I still remember I love the Wildcats so much I watched the movies over and over again. Thank you Disney and everyone for bringing HSM to us! #90Kids #DisneyChannelOriginalMovie

Relive the hit songs below:

Breaking Free

Still can’t believe it has been 10 years. Long Live High School Musical!

Girrawheen SHS Outreach Programme

Today, I am so fortunate to be part of UWA Aspire High School Outreach Programme. Girawheen SHS has a special place in my heart because in 2013, I spent a fantastic and unforgettable week with students and teachers from Girawheen SHS in a Math Summer School Camp. I have always wanted to go back to the school and inspire more students to further their education beyond high school. I have always fundamentally believe that all young Australians should have a fair go in education and strongly believe that education is a right, not a priority. Hence, I try to reach out to as many students as I can, hoping to spread my believe, inspiring more young Australians to pursue education and the chance to change their lives.

Today I am so fortunate to work with a group of Year 10 students. These students have to select their subjects in a few weeks time and UWA is trying to help these students to choose their subjects wisely. As the students were immersed in their activities today, I was walking around them and suddenly a student raised his hand and I approached him. I greeted him with a smile. His voice was trembling and sounded a little insecure as he asked “What is ATAR? What is TEA?”

I smiled, sat down and talked to him. His tone, despite the tremble and sense of insecurity, I could tell that he was serious about university. He wanted to go to university. He wanted to know more and I was more than eager and excited to share with him everything about university. From his soft, trembling voice, I could sense that he was a little helpless. As he gradually opened up and spoke more, I was glad I stopped by and had a chat with him. He told me about his studies, he asked me about ATAR, he asked me how could he get into UWA, yes he specified UWA. He told me about his Italian background and how in his family, going to university does not seem like an important thing. This boy, at such a young age, is serious about getting an education in university. Despite lack of support from home, his words and actions showed that he is such a mature boy at his age. I felt like I wanted to talk more to him but time eventually runs out, like always.

I left the school today feeling bittersweet for the boy. I am happy, as he told me that Aspire UWA was the first point of contact that has inspired him to further his education. I am happy for him, for he is such a matured boy at his age. I am happy for him, for he foresees that education is the key to open more doors of opportunities in the future. At the same time, I feel sad for him. Coming from a low socioeconomic high school and a family that lack support in education, I feel like he is a true gem inside and I hope one day he is able let his inner gem glow and shine. As I left the school today, my mind went blank for a while, recounting the conversation that I had with this boy. He reminded me how grateful I should be that my family supported my decision to pursue my dream degree in university. He made me feel that my work with UniDiscovery and Aspire throughout the years are worthwhile. He reaffirmed my believe in education equality for all, something I will always believe strongly. He reminded me there are still many young children out there who are not getting a fair go in education. He made me feel I want to help him more. Leaving the school with a million thoughts, I wished the boy all the best in his studies but most of all I told him, “I’ll see you at UWA one day.”

Adrienne Turns 20!!

Last Friday our beloved Adrienne turns 20! Although things did not roll out as what we had in mind initially, we still have lots of fun at her granny’s flat! We bought the birthday girl the most random presents in a Maccas happy meal box and even sex toys! Of course we bought Adrienne a birthday cake from Miss Maud, the hazelnut cake is so delicious and yummy!

Happy birthday to you again Adrienne. You are perhaps the happiest person I have ever known. Thank you for being my singing partner, singing trashy pop songs everyday in university as we walk to get my latte and your hot milk from Rocketfuel, The Tenth State. We even have our own set of playlists! How cool is that. Katy Perry‘s Roar in the morning, Nicki Minaj‘s Starships in the afternoon and Miley Cyrus‘ We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball as we walk to The Tenth State! Yes, we KRAY KRAY, spell CRAY with a ‘K’!

I’m wearing Spenglish t-shirt, Dockers alpha khaki, Airflex boots and a Zara scarf. So chic, stylish and effortless!

Post Exam Party!

Went out for a fun night with all my friends from Engineering last Saturday night at Air Nightclub. We had so much fun dancing and letting loose for one night after a stressful semester and a year of hard work. It is always fun to hangout with good mates even I was the designated driver last night – so yeah I was the skipper!

I’m wearing Guy Laroche shirt, Esprit denim, Havaianas shoes and Louis Vuitton wallet.

1..2..3.. and to INFINITY

Yea. Life’s being so busy until my blog got neglected without ample updates for almost 2 weeks! I know I am becoming lazy but sometimes I guess I’ve so much to catch up especially it is 2nd semester now. OMG! It means SPM is approaching sooner than ever!

Ok. So last Saturday our koperasi went to attend the award ceremony by SKM. Full of hopes we went there and seriously I instantly felt helpless and hopeless when we were announced to be the 2nd runner up only! WTF! When we finally cooled off and discussed, we realised that our koperasi’s profit plunged too much.. Thanks to the stupid former principal with his total foolishness – taking away the sales of school magazine, diary and bulletins away from us! SHIT!! He’s so irksome in many ways!

Oh ya! I drove Zhann, Cindy and Pauline home. They camwhore a lot in my car and Zhann even took pictures of me! How interesting!

Here’s the picture Zhann took and Pauline also experimented around with my iPhone…

Cindy, Pauline & Zhann

My unfailing friends & partners in Koperasi! I LOVE U GUYS!

Yup! Pauline showing off her prowess of camwhoring using my iPhone!

Draw to a conclusion = Pauline is 100% qualified to use an iPhone dy! *Invoking what Pauline mentioned the other day XD*

There are more pictures in my Facebook account and so as in Zhann’s blog. XD. FYI, Zhann credited me a 89/100 for my driving when I first drove her and Roland to tHe Spring on the same week! Whee!! Too bad Kenny marked me a 2/10 only! WTF! LOL

I’m trying to find time to drive you out! I know you are buzzing around and anticipating to be in my car! Yea I know! Keep waiting =) Thank u!!

Daw’s birthday, 10 July (Oops. sequence mixed up but priority not mixed up.. Koperasi comes first XD). We bought him a wallet and guessed what? Daw’s using it now! Whee! Too bad I din get a snapshot of his prexie. XD. Glad that Daw loves it.

Next, sister’s heading back to Perth today. Aww. I missed a chatting partner again! I remembered when she was here, alright we are seriously talk-a-holic. We chatted from 11pm until 2am in the morning! Freaking much? XD.

What else is in my list? I am tapping my fingers whenever I tried to ponder what had occurred for the past few weeks. XD.

Ok. My health was ailing for the past few days. First come sore throat. Followed by flu and charting the list is cough. Thank God it wasn’t A(H1N1)! Phew~

Fine.. come to resolution for the 2nd semester:

-Less time on iPod

-Less time on iPhone (I got addicted to the games)

-Less time on Facebook (compelling myself to wave goodbye to those heart-capturing & addictive games)

-More time on my books

Ok. I’m trying to do more Mathematics this month! And finish my Form 4 Biology Chapter 2 – 6 by end of next week + Form 4 History Chapter 1 – 5 by end of next week! Keep fingers cross I’m disciplined enough to follow my resoultion =)

Next, stupid Malaysia Government! They reverted teaching Math and Science back to Malay Language! WTF! They are totally like ostrich trying to bury their head under the sand when setbacks tackle! Yea. Just because the rural areas and some kiaws do not understand English doesn’t mean the other students do not understand English! I pity all those younger generation – imagine next time when they further their studies in any field.. Ask them in English, they answer you “Minta maaf.. Saya tak know lah.. I.. terlalu diMelayukan semasa di Malaysia.. (Translation: Sorry, I dunno lah.. I am too Malay-fy in Malaysia) XD.

Trust me – that’s Malaysia “BRIGHT” future.

Picture this, all those Mathematics & Science books are penned in English GLOBALLY and we are still like toads and frogs under the well – reverting to a language that only 0.000000000000000001% of the world recognises it? SHIT.

Alright, I’m seriously in love with…

Wilber 007

Yea! Wilber Pan! He’s so handsome and adorable!

What more to say bout his voice and songs?!!

Yea. I still have lots of things to blabber out until as what I’ve mentioned in my title.. INFINITY. So I am gonna update them bits by bits although I know that as time elapses more things would be happening and I’ve got to update them. Well, take it as the colourful part of my life then! XD

Have a Nice Day!

P/s: Leon dreams of going to Rome and Milan this year end for a vacation! Grant my wish!
