Fashion Friday: Best of Golden Globes 2016

Golden Globes 2016 officially kicked start the red carpet season for 2016. Red carpet is always an interesting time for everyone in the fashion industry, whether it is fashion houses, celebrities stylists, fashion bloggers and fashion lovers. It is the time to see celebrities dressed in the latest collection from fashion houses. Without further ado, let’s dive in to my top 8 favourite look from that night.

First we have Mother Monster, Lady Gaga dressed in Atelier Versace. Gaga channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe and I am definitely buying Lady Gaga’s recent years change. Definitely Gaga has shed away her Just Dance era fashion style and I am not complaining Lady Gaga always looking gorgeous and elegant. Gaga is pure elegance in this Atelier Versace. Hands down 🙌!

Remember when Rihanna rocked Chinese couture Guo Pei’s dress to the MET GALA in 2015 [link]? Rihanna is a woman of style and confidence. It is hard to own a bright yellow dress to a red carpet for most people but not the forever gorgeous Jennifer Lopez! J.Lo literally shut everyone down when she arrived at the Golden Globes in this gorgeous Giambattista Valli haute couture dress. Pairing it with a pair of Jimmy Choo, this is easily one of the best outfit for Golden Globes 2016 Red Carpet. Hands down 💛!

Cate Blanchett wears a beautiful Givenchy Haute Couture dress to the red carpet. The dress is a beautiful dress and the colour just goes well with Cate’s skin tone and makeup. I particularly like Cate’s hairdo. Her stylist has done a great job with her hair. Although this look may not be the most-talked-about look on the red carpet, I want to highlight the cohesion of the colour choice, from make up, lipstick colour to the dress, they work just well for Cate 💗.

Amy Adams arrived in Aterlier Versace dress. All the fine details that Donatella Versace has put into the dress to make it sparkle captured my attention. This dress goes well with Adam’s strawberry brunette hair 🍓 and overall this is a nice dress. Something beautiful to look at on the red carpet.

Forget Fish Mooney punky look. Jada Pinkett Smith looked gorgeous and beautiful in this Atelier Versace dress. The cape gives a very airy and light feel to the dress and the belt around her waist just helps to finish off the look on a very beautiful note. Simple yet full with details, this dress is definitely one of my favourite looks on the Red Carpet that night 💚.

Yes it’s almost spring! Rachel McAdams arrived in this beautiful Lanvin dress that reminds many of us that spring is almost here in the Northern hemisphere. Rachel just makes us jealous that while many of us have not had access yet to designers’ spring/summer 2016 collection, she is wearing this dress from Lanvin’s SS16 capsule collection. I love her simple makeup with a pop of red lipstick that goes well with the dress 🌹.

Melissa Benoist arrives in this beautiful Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2016 Look 31. Pre-Fall collection has just been launched (and it is still happening as I pen this post), I am so thrilled that Monique Lhuillier has actually let Benoist to arrive in the latest collection. This is literally hot off the oven. I love Benoist finishing it off with a pair of Stuart Weitzman sandals and a rose gold clutch that channels her an ultra-feminine look at the red carpet 💞.

Viola Davis looked stunning and dazzling in this Marchesa SS16 Look 13 dress. I would have thought the earrings and her ring would be too much on her, considering there are already a lot going on on the dress, but I reckon Davis pulled off this look. Well done girl 💙!

What are your favourite look from the Golden Globes 2016 Red Carpet? I love to hear from you.
