FABULOUS RED
Be Yourself, Be Red and Be FABULOUS

2007 Review

2007 has really being an adventurous and exciting year for me. Although it has come to an end, I still feel that I want to highlight a few memorable events which make this year a really unforgettable one, make it to be at school or at home. XD

January – School reopened. I felt so glad as I once again went back to my ideal school. At first, in my mind, I thought that Form 3’s life was an unpleasant one, especially with strict and responsible teachers like Pn Nazrah, Pn Sutinah, Pn Khadijawati and Pn Lim. However, all these so-called-sour-experience with these four teachers instead turned out to be a sweet memory. XD. First day of school, got nominated as the assistant class monitor of 3A1. Definitely felt proud of it. First month of school, what to expect? Every thing was like a mess but they all worked out and fit in like a pro. XD

Forgot to add that we received the school diary. A really nice cover and a compilation of hard work done by Shu Yi’s and her typing crew. XD

February – Chinese New Year. Yeah! Angpau collection time. Haha. Nothing much to highlight. Met a few old friends. When we went back to school, all teachers started to nag us to start studying. XD. PMR registration is getting started. Oh. And one sad news, Jerry’s leaving Kuching High for Perth, Australia pretty soon!

March – My 15th birthday!! 25th of March! Although did not manage to squeeze in the time to celebrate my birthday with my friends, managed to make it to celebrate with my friends and family. An awesome meal at Holiday Inn. XD. This month, our PMR projects were also getting started. Jerry had departed for Australia! We really miss this big guy! XD

Also, not to forget that I took the ABRSM Grade 8 Theory Exam at St Joseph Primary School! Tough paper man!

April – Life went on as usual. Projects started to occupy most of our free time like our afternoon nap, our leisure time. Took some advice from the seniors and all their responses were the same “you are lucky to be in form 3.. later when you are ‘upgraded’ to SPM level.. no such kind of easy-pixy project.. XD”. Continued searching information and working hard towards our goal of Form 3’s life – aiming for straight A’s in PMR.

May – Time to prepare for examination. Teachers were getting even strict. Sometimes I felt that life in Form 3 was quite hectic. Nevertheless, looked at the bright side, all these would pay off with a fabulous prize named straight As. So, we continued to battle against the hardship! However, all bundles of nerves were relaxed with a 2 week holiday break. However, Pn Nazrah gave us a set of BM exercises, a compilation of hard work and 210 questions on BM grammar. Pn Doreen – English stuff, Pn Tay – more Mathematics calculation, Pn Chin – more Science works, Pn Sutinah – as usual, to revise History and finish our project. Pn Lim – to study hard for Geography and to complete the project. Pn Lee, also not excluded, KHB projects and piles of revision works.

Also couldn’t resist the fun of RC’s Fun Day Camp! Under Zong He and Johnathan’s lead were a great pleasure and fun. Although the camp lasted for one day only, it was already clearly shown that all members and leaders had been linked by a strong and unseen bond. XD

Sad to know that Esther broke up with Sze Howe. Both of them turned to me. Well, both are my friends and I treated them as friends for life. Hence, I do not mind giving them help mentally. The worst was still Sze Howe.

June – Received my Mathematics paper with a perfect score! Oh my! I was totally on cloud nine as I had never scored a perfect score throughout my life in secondary school. Ok, I could admit that from then onwards, my interest towards Mathematics had glowed and ignited. I hurriedly finished the Form 3 syllabus and kicked start off with Form 4 syllabus. At first, it was kind of a struggle but finally got used to it and started to spend more time with Mathematics. Also, this was the month of projects collection. Class monitor, Karen and I were running to and fro from the classroom to the staff room everyday and almost every single period. Life was tough and both of us sometimes got to sacrifice our time to go to the staff room. Sometimes, if we were “lucky”, we faced the music. XD

Getting busier too as school cooperative was launching ”School Cooperative Week”. Sales, competitions, quizes and etc were all going on. Members were compulsory to take part in the choir singing and some activities.

Well, school’s sports days were organized. First day, I helped Pn Nazrah to due with the class registration thingy-thing. Second day, I volunteered to be the first aider. Some casualties and I also managed to rescue a few with the cooperation of few friends.

Continued to send short messages to Sze Howe. He was still quite down. Added him to my Friends and Family list. My phone showed that both of us had been sending and receving 300 messages just in 1 month. XD

July – Usually this was the month of no holidays. Started to bite our finger nails as PMR was in 3 month time. I was cultivated the habit of sending messages to Sze Howe. Haha. Got addicted. Almost everyday after school I was sending SMS. XD. But by this month, Sze Howe started to cool off. Everything got back as usual and I started my life as a bookworm-just-cos-of-PMR life again. Sigh. But at least everything has got back to the normal style. Though sometime missed the frequent vibration of cell phones. XD

August – Got my theory result. Managed to survive with a pass. Mrs Sim comfort me that most of us failed to score a Merit, only Amanda, I supposed and some did not manage to make it through the border line even. Aww. I remembered Noah couldn’t made it. Good luck next time, Noah! XD. Self-study of Mathematics went on as usual. By this month, most of the teachers had finished with the syllabus and started revision. Treasurer, Edmund got even busier than the bees, collecting class fund and fees to print more exercises for each single subjects. 8 subjects to be exact. XD

September – The atmosphere in 3A1’s classroom was getting even more tense and pressure. Everyday you stepped in the door of 3A1, you could feel that strong pressures were exerting around you. Everyone started with their respective revision. PMR mock was also “bitting around the bush” (what I mean is just around the corner). XD. Some of us anticipated for it and some took no response as their answer and some were still in the January’s mood. XD

3A1’s T-Shirt front view was completed by Woan Tyng. Crosswords, names and others were done by Cindy and our gang named “zaponakidyyileonyeehueiping”. XD.  The T-shirt could only be described as “marvellous, glamorous and FABULOUS!” XD. Oh! High School Musical 2 premiered in September too! Oh! Ashley was even prettier than ever! Sharpay was totally my idol! XD

October – Started this month with PMR! Finally, the week of our life was over. We were all so relieved that our nightmare was over. Thank God PMR was not so difficult as what we had in mind. Post PMR programme, which some of them were less convincing, made entire Kuching High student body to feel bored about it. However, we made it through. The highlight of this month was the sales with me as the leader-in-charge and organising chairperson. XD. The whole programme ran quite smoothly.

After the sales, election of 2008 diary committee began. I chose the best committe I could. We all worked hard altogehter with one goal, DOING OUR BEST FOR KUCHING HIGH! Even though throughout the process, some of us might felt down as Miss Chai was often short-tempered, we actually learned to help one another during our down time and share our prime time together too!

November – School went on as usual for two weeks. Received the school magazine on the second last day. It was quite good and quite a well-done task. Hehe. Diary was completed at the end of the month. For this little diary, I sacrificed most of time on it until I missed out a lot of PBSM activities. Aww. But it really paid off. It’s something that you would never do again and you never had the chance.

A day before prize givind day, I stayed back for the rehearsal. We went to Scoop’s there and had a scoop of ice-cream! It was so unforgettable moments! By the time we reached school, Ms Wee automatically instructed me and Jacquelyn to look after the afternoon and morning prefect respectively. Haha. Seniors really did enjoy the great power. XD

Received 2 prizes on that day. Some of pictures were taken by the press and being pinned up on the papers the next day. XD. A star was born! XD! I even took a pic with Keren on that day after the ceremony.

December – Went to Kunming for a week after my sis had completed her SPM examination via SilkAir. The trip was a pleasant one. Miss the joy and fun. XD. However, it is always good to be home. XD.

Received my PMR result after Christmas! Straight As! Haha. I was totally cheering and laughing with joy.

So, everything has resoluted to today, 31st December, last day of 2007! 2007 has really being a significant year for me! I really wanted to remember this year so by all means, I posted up this post although it took me almost an hour to write a review of the whole year events.

2008 - I hope for another significant, lucky, happy and prosperous year! May all yours and my dreams come true! The sky’s the limit only! XD
